In reference to the health insurance exchanges coming online October, 1st, this is about as straight forward as it gets. Kaiser is the most reputable and independent source on health care reform.

Forget the republican propaganda, get the facts. Nobody expects perfection with the rollout, but remember the first open enrollment will last for 6 months, so plenty of time to work out any bugs.

Governor Pence’s communication director says they will have information for Hoosiers today or tomorrow, but quite frankly, Pence has buried himself in fighting the Affordable Care Act. Indiana did all the work in 2010 and 2011 to establish an exchange and received over $7 million from the federal government for start-up costs.

Pence walked away from it because of politics. He turned is back on over 1 million Hoosiers, and told 50% of us to head to the emergency room if we get sick. That is expected to cost Indiana hospitals around $1 billion.
